Local involvement overseas
A key part of ISN’s process for setting up an overseas presence on behalf of a client is to identify a competent local partner to carry out the IT and networking support for the systems to be implemented onshore or offshore. We ensure that local staff are trained and fully involved at all stages of the project. ISN staff in-country mentor local resources, ensuring that knowledge transfer takes place and act as an interface with the client to ensure that projects run smoothly and the client’s needs are met.
Charity of the year
At the beginning of each year, ISN staff choose a charity to be the recipient of fund raising activities.
For 2018 staff have voted to support a charity named Just A Drop. Their mission is to reduce child mortality by delivering accessible, clean, safe water where it is needed most.
Although no formal arrangement with any university is in place, ISN has provided paid internships and work placements to students from Thames Valley University, Imperial College and Edinburgh Napier University.
Students get the opportunity to shadow ISN staff, get practical experience about how a business functions and to carry out a project in areas such as; marketing, procurement, accounts or IT.
